Graphene OS installation complete, system body

Thoughts after using it:

Basically, from the three pictures above, I think I can summarize the whole system. It’s like a very native and unmodified system, taking up a full 12GB after installation, Graphene OS is mainly an enhancement to the system, blocking or disabling many of the attacks that you can’t see. For example, the profile function in Figure 3.
  • However, I personally think that Graphene OS only serves the purpose of proper privacy (not anonymity) and security. If you need a better solution, there is no way to achieve that with any Android system, and arguably there never will be.

Graphene OS’s security/privacy features:

  • As shown in Figure 3, the profile is like another phone you’ve got, it’s separable and the user can’t see all the information about the other user 100% isolated.
  • Software will ask you if you want to use files, pictures, or even put them in a specific folder like the iphone’s security mechanism.
  • Ask if you want to allow internet when installing software.
  • There is an option to disable the use of sensors by all software, or an option to open this application to allow permission.
  • Support LTE only mode (4G network), the development team said this is for security reasons, disable the unused 2G, 3G, 5G network to reduce the attack surface.
  • Completely removes Google services, there is a sandboxed Google Play available if you need it, or you can use the alternative Aurora Store.
  • Absolutely reliable flight mode, real flight. Some brands of cell phones have completely untrustworthy flight modes. I don’t know if it really flies without internet or if it’s always on and turns off the sim card when you turn it on.
  • Randomized MAC ID location
  • Remove fingerprints, remove metadata, use the built-in capture tool, and record photos without leaking any information about the phone
  • Secure View PDF feature with 50% more protection than regular Android.
  • The rest of the system is 100% Android.
